Keep the IMS account active after unsubscribing from an E365 contract, simply as it was initially before being enrolled.

The problem is concerning user management around IMS account.

When an IMS user account is created, the user can access to Bentley connect, access to projectwise webviews, open support cases, etc…

Then, we assign user to our E365 contract for him to get tools’ licenses during a construction project.

Then, at the end of project, we unsubscribe him from our contract, we do not want to allow him to consume costs from our contract..

Then:

  • His IMS account can no more log into connect.bentley.com, with a red error saying combination mail and password not valid.

  • If he tries to reset password, system answers it was unable to reset the password and ask him to contact a site administrator… but he has none…

  • He should be able to use his IMS his account and access to Bentley connect for another project, as it was at the beginning.

  • In fact, he cannot. The IMS account is disabled and unusable. He can’t even contact support to re enable his IMS account.

Then the user has to create a new IMS account with another email address if he has one …

This behavior is not relevant.
