Clear user selection by default

When updating users, it is often required to jump from user to user, where each of them has a different configuration.
Currently the default will keep each user selected as you do this, resulting in chaos when all users are now updated with incorrect settings. To say this is infuriating is an understatement, but the problems it causes go beyond that. Since it takes a solid hour for the corrected updates to propagate, users can be down (like now) for far longer than they should be, where this would not be the case if the user selection worked as expected.
